Grant County Art Guild redesign
The Grant County Art Guild has recently been redesigned by area designer Daria Tallman for the 2010 season opening April 27. The gallery is housed in the Pinos Altos Gold Avenue Methodist-Episcopal Church, known by locals as the "Hearst Church."
Tallman, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., re-located to New Mexico in 1996. She and her husband live in Mimbres where she home schools her two children. She received a five year scholarship from LaSalle University where she studied law and later became an AFNA Scholar, Legal Division, Temple University Law Center. Later Tallman entered Tyler School of Art, majored in jewelry and metal-smithing and also began to incorporate design classes alongside her major. She began designing residential and commercial spaces.
Visitors are welcome to visit the newly designed gallery and meet the featured artists Fridays through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
